Friday
(a much needed visit)
This past weekend we went back to our old stomping grounds and visited friends and family. We see our family often enough but we haven't seen our friends Jeremy and Carmen for close to seven months. It was a wonderful visit to be able to spend the day together and see each other rather than talk on the phone. We miss our friends a lot and wish that we lived close to them still but we are just thankful to be able to keep in touch still. There are those few friendships in your life that you will always be thankful that you stayed friends. I posted a current picture of the kids together. They are a very adorable group of kids!!
There is a small beach at Callaway and that is what Davis loved. So we spent all of our time at the beach and didn't even make it anywhere else. We built our first family sand castle however it was not very good because we came unprepared and had no buckets or shovels or anything. We used our hands and a small branch with some leafs for the top. We thought that it looked more like a cake than a sand castle so don't make fun of it, at least we tried!!!
Davis threw hand fulls of sand in the water over and over and he picked up every pine cone that he could find and threw those in the water as well and after all the pine cones were in the water he went back to throwing hand fulls of sand. When he got bored of that he picked up all the sticks and not to much longer they were all in the water as well. Davis definetly doesn't mind getting his hands dirty
Sunday
(relaxing.....what else can I say)
Sunday was spent with the family of course....who else. We ate and then ate some more and argued a little politics could have got more intensed but luckily this time it stayed calm you never know with the Bettes's. The grandkids are always the highlight playing and running throughout the house. It was a great weekend to getaway and spend time with the people that you love!!

Sounds like you had a fun weekend!! Jeremy and I are in Orem Utah we have been out here for 3 years, we just bought a condo a year ago. Jeremy is in flight school and should graduate in about a year in a half. We are excited to FINALLY graduate, specially in a field Jeremy loves. How is everyone back in GA? It's so great to hear from you! Keep in touch!!
