Trouble Maker Davis!!!

So, I thought that this was something worth writing about maybe it is because it is the firt time someone has reprimanded my child in front of me. Davis is struggling in nursery so usually either Nick and I are in there with him. This past Sunday I was the lucky chosen one to be in there and during snack time I finally got Davis to sit in his own chair and not on my lap. He was sitting in his chair very reverently at the beginning and I guess by the time things got started he was over sitting in his chair and he kept getting up and coming over to me which I was across the room from him. I think he was doing this to make sure that I wasn't going to sneak off!! I would instruct Davis to go sit in his chair which he always did. He just was making this a habit and kept getting up and coming over to me and I would do the same thing tell him to go sit down and he would. He did this quite a bit but I didn't think that it was harming anyone, he was listening to me and being his mother I felt like I was handling the situation. Expect this one time Davis got up and started walking over to me and the nursery worker elected to handle it this time and she told Davis that if he didn't sit in his chair that she was going to take away his snacks and picked up his bowl of snacks and took them away. Davis of course not only didn't listen but I don't think he understood what she was saying. Davis just stared at her then came over to me. She then put his snacks back down... so, I took Davis back over to where he was sitting and knelt down by his chair so he wouldn't get up from his chair and be reprimanded anymore!!

Just for the record the people that are reading this I think that our nursery workers are GREAT and I am NOT upset at all by it.... I just thought that it was a little funny and worth writing about watching Davis get in Trouble!!

Baby Update!!

Well, for the few of you that read this blog anymore I thought that I would just update you with some baby news. I had a doctor's appt this morning and everything went very well. I am so proud of myself because I was not an emotional train wreck and I made it out of there without one tear falling!!! Yay for me!!! The baby is still growing strong and as of today I am officially out of my first trimester!! Yes...I made it!! I can now say that I am 13 weeks and starting my second trimester....what a small miracle it feels like. I would have never thought in all of my life that getting passed the number 12 would mean so much to me!! If this is what it feels like to win the lottery than man I feel like a million bucks!!!
I am feeling so good today that I went and bought me a new outfit...but uuughh maternity clothes are not the best to shop for!!

I feel like I can finally relax some but there is one little thing I am a little nervous about my doctor feels like I am good to go and he doesn't need to see me again until 16 weeks. I know I usually complain that I live at the doctors but really it is sort of a comfort that I was going every 2 weeks and now I feel like I have been kicked to the curb, pushed out on my own, you know I am not really sure that I can handle this sort of treatment yet!! Who knows I could have gone crazy by 16 weeks...we shall see

Davis as an Old Man!!

I came across this video clip a couple of days ago and I laughed so hard when I watched it that I couldn't help but post it!! Nick's parents came up for a visit and Davis kept trying to take off Papa's glasses so he could wear them and this is what happens....

Also, I just wanted to mention how proud we are of Nick and his accomplishments and hard work. Nick was promoted today at work and we are so, so, so thankful for it!! As many of you know I was very reluctant on moving to North Atlanta but I was willing to do it so I could stay at home with Davis. I would have never guessed how happy I would be living up here and 1 1/2 years later I am still amazed at how much the Lord has blessed our family!!

Pictures!!

Good to be home...

Ok, the worst thing for me about traveling are the airports. I have a constant fear that something is going to happen!! Am I going to lose my passport, am I going to miss my flight, will someone charge me $300 USD for a sandwhich b/c I get confused trying to understand the currency exchange rates, etc. So.....just a constant fear of something the whole time I'm on an airplane or in an airport.

Poland:
Much different than the US, small cars, food that looks scary but surprisingly tastes good, glasses of water that cost $3.50, and quite a few other things. I wouldn't consider Poznan a tourist attraction so not a whole lot of picture opportunities. The one place that was worth taking pictures of was the town square. The rest of the town was industrialized. Factories and plants scattered throughout. Not very exciting but good for Poland b/c it means that money is coming into the country.

Sweden:
On the drive to the hotel I felt that Sweden looked like Montana except they have no mountains. Again, the town that I went to was mixed with plants and distribution centers. But this town was not as packed as the Poznan. Things were more spread out. Everyone drove either a volvo, saad or audi. I wouldn't mind any of those myself. The food seemed healthier in Sweden. Lot less scary to eat but not as much flavor!

Over all, the trip was as fun as could be expected without family. I was lonely the whole time but work kept me busy the majority of the time. Just felt lonely when I came back to the hotel. I was taken out most nights which was nice. You'll see my one meal in Sweden which cost about $200 for two people. Crazy!! Anyway, this is probably long enough so there ya go.

Kids will be kids!!

This is what happens when Davis hangs around his cousins to much, he will do and say whatever they do. This is a fairly long video so I tried posting the parts that were not so long!! Davis's cousin Kinley recorded this while Logan taught him how to jump off the couch. Kids are crazy....

And this is what happens when I as a mother ignore it and let it go on for way to long!!

I love how Logan is trying to comfort Davis when he falls!!

So far....so good!!!

Surprisingly, I have been keeping myself busy while Nick is gone thanks to Nick's sister Wren and my friend Rachel. If it weren't for those two I probably would have gone crazy by now!!
I stayed at Wren's house Saturday and Sunday and we drove down to Pine Mountain and visited family for Father's Day. It was quite the day and by the time I got back I was exhausted!! We all went to the pool together on Monday and then Davis and I loaded up and came home.

Davis loves his cousin Logan!!

Kinley, Logan and Davis playing ring around the rosie!!

I spent my first night by myself last night, I made it through the night with not much sleep, but I survived the night!! I had a HUGE headache last night and my friend Rachel drove all the way to my house and brought me medicine and onion rings from Sonic (the best onion rings ever). You know you have a good friend when they bring you some onion rings from Sonic when you are not feeling well. Then Rachel and I felt adventurous today and packed up the kids and went to Ikea. I am not sure why we put ourselves through it, but again we survived another Ikea trip with 2 (almost) 2 year olds!! I guess you can say we survived the trip no one got hurt and we all left in the condition we arrived!!
Like I say... so far.....so good!!!

Dreadful Day # 1

So Nick is gone and Davis and I are alone! Not entirely I am writing this post as I am sitting at my sister-in-laws house. Thank goodness for family to help me out while Nick is gone!! We are traveling down to Nick's parents tomorrow to celebrate Father's Day and it is a little weird for me to not have Nick around because we are always together.
I had pictured in my head this long and sappy good bye with Nick as he was leaving and let me say it was not like what I had pictured at all!! We were sitting on the couch and Nick got a text on his phone saying his flight was delayed from 5 to 6:30. The time was 4:00 and Nick thought that his flight left at 8:00. Which they say that you are suppose to get there 3 hours before your flight leaves for international. All of a sudden I look at Nick and say I thought your flight leaves at 8:00. Nick jumps up in a panic reads his text again and starts saying "Oh my gosh, I gotta go, I am going to miss my flight". He was in total panic mode I wish that I was recording him at that exact moment, it would be funny to play again. Anyway, to make a long story short Nick got his flight times confused. He rushed out the door with giving me one little rushed kiss on the lips (again not what I had pictured). I wanted the drama, the tears, the hearts aching....but instead I got a little tiny, rushed kiss.
But, luckily Nick's flight was delayed again until 7:30 and he made it to the airport in plenty of time to still wait around!! So, maybe delayed flights are a blessing after all, at least for Nick!!!
