A delicious treat....

So 7 years ago I was introduced to this dessert from dairy queen that still remains my top dessert that is served in a plastic cup and requires a spoon to be eaten. Actually, it's probably closer to the top considering all forms of desserts. My first time eating it was in West Yellowstone, MT at the little Dairy Queen on the corner of the only main intersection in that town. I think 7 years ago it was called a Mister Misty Float. It's made up of vanilla ice cream and then you fill the rest of the cup up with one of the slushy flavors. The first time I had it I actually ordered my usual butterfinger blizzard and Jess ordered the float. She talked me into trying hers and I have to tell you, it was delicious!!! First of all Dairy Queen has amazing ice cream. But then when you combine the tart/sour/or whatever word you want to use to describe the slushy flavor (my choice is blue rasberry) it's the perfect combination. I tried looking for a picture of one on google but I couldn't find it. So next time you're in the mall or driving around and are passing a Dairy Queen, stop by and order you one.

And just to throw in one more Dairy Queen memory.....when I was in West and was first starting to like Jess, we all went to a High School graduation. I think about 12 Seniors were graduating that year so it didn't take that long which was nice. Especially considering Jess sat with her high school friends instead of me!! I was so mad!! I kissed this girl for probably close to 9 hours by this point and she doesn't sit next to me. I simply did not get it. So the ceremony ends, we (Erik Witbeck, Jess and myself) go hop into my 1993 Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Bronco (I wish they had a Jack Bauer eddition because I would get one right now if they did) and drive off. We're cruising around the town when we see all her high school friends hanging out at the Dairy Queen in the only main intersection of town. So I slow my speed down to about 3 mph and crank up the K-C and JoJo song Crazy (I'm Crazy, Crazy, Crazy, Crazy just thinking about you baby). I had the whole set up with the '10 woofers in the back and the amp and all that good stuff and we had this song turned up and we began to offially cruise the town in style. The whole purpose of this was to embarass Jess (and pay her back for not sitting next to me) in front of her little high school friends which would've happened if she didn't duck down. Instead all they saw was me with my seat reclined, stearing with one hand, while bobbing my head, going by at 3 mph. I think they all were wishing they were living my life at that point. Erik was in the back but the windows were tinted so they couldn't see how cool he was as well. We should've thrown Jess in the back and cruised back by a few more times. Then we could've really shown these small town kids how we do it. I also had the CD from John Haralson in my car that had Kenny Rodgers and Wyclef doing the "Gambler". Freaking song is the best song ever recorded.

Could you imagine crusing Yellowstone while jamming to this song in this Bronco!! Sometimes I miss those days!!!!

DANGIT SOUND CARD!!!! Why does my sound card have to be freakin broken!!! WHY! I so want to hear "The Gambler"

Chad and I love DQ. Chad likes fudge strip cookie blizzard. while I like mint oreo. but I promise the next time we are by a DQ we will order one of your Meesta Meesta floats.

oh and that bronco tells a whole other story of why I think Jess hooked up with the likes of you. It just oozes "I'm one bad mother trucker"

Jack Bauer Edition FTW! Why haven't the automakers thought about that yet? Now there's a business idea for you! Not exactly low overhead and cost of entry, but who cares!

(For what it's worth, Belinda and I both sang out loud to 'Crazy Crazy Crazy' while it played. Good times.)

Hey Nick, I'll give you a dollar if you can figure out the connection between the picture of the SLC Temple and the fourth song on your playlist ("All Summer Long").

DQ! That so takes me back to my Ricks college days. Thanks for the memories.

what is the connection? have something to do with protesting prop 8 or something?? i heard those guys were protesting the ATL temple on Sunday. They probably thought they were going to ruin our church services!!! Then when no one shows up they're like, we got them to cancel church!! so now they go every Sunday to protest to keep us from attending our regular church services on Sunday at the temple!

oh yeah, and that Bronco was freakin' awesome!! We traded it in to get a 2001 Ford F150 Lariatt. That's a story for another time though. Maybe it will be my next post?? The lessons you learn when your young!!
