On My Own!!

Thank goodness it is FRIDAY!! Just waking up and knowing the day is Friday makes it a better day already!!! I know that I am behind on blogging and reading every one's blogs but I am asking my sweet friends to cut me some slack. I am finishing up my second week on my own with both kids and honestly I have only had one breakdown. Which I am proud of myself and to my defense it was on a day where Cole was very fussy and Davis was very needy and I was very tired all on the same day. It was a nightmare of a day but we managed to get through it thanks to the rescue of Nick coming home and saving all of us. Everyday has new challenges, sometimes it may take me all morning just to load the dishes in the dishwasher and other days it may be around 2 before any of us are dressed. Or some days I find myself making Davis lunch for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. And Davis may be running around the house looking like this because I am behind on laundry and his closet was left opened where he found his boots and put them on the wrong feet. I am not sure where he found the gloves or glasses that is a mystery all of its own......Poor kid!!

And Cole may be looking like this because I am trying to juggle both his and Davis' needs and I just can't get to him fast enough.

And the house may look like a tornado hit it. Sorry no pictures of that!
But since we can't give them away or give them back we decided that we might as well make the best of it. We are learning to live in this unorganized and chaotic lifestyle that we have created for ourselves. No really....we are happy, a little on the tired side at least for Nick and I, but we love our life and our growing family, at least that is what I am told to say!!

Wow, I have no idea how you are handling it with two kids!! Good job!! I have a break down about every other day with just this one. I don't know why people don't warn you about how hard it is, do they really forget, or do they just not want to scare you?? LOL!

Love the new blog design by the way!

Oh the joys of parenthood! lol! I think I gave up on the getting dressed part! The only time I worry with that is if we are leaving the house, or someone is coming over, other than that its pjs all day, lol! I find I do my best cleaning at night when the kids go to bed, or when they are taking a nap, and you make ask when do I sleep, well I don't, but I do look forward to that day when I can sleep in, and take a nap whenever I want, but until then I just enjoy playing with the kids, and being a kid myself, lol! Take care!

I love reading ya'lls blogs and read how hard it is and you really don't have time in the day to do all that is needed. The exhaustion, the un-ending needs, the necessity of feeding them everyday and not just everyday but, more than once a day. I can live off one meal a day why can't they...

And then I can say

HHHMMMMMMM and realize I'm done with that part of my life.

I loved that part of my life, I loved when my kids were little. I loved watching them grow and learn new things (honestly that was the best part of all).

But oh I love their independence, their strength, their personalities changing and their not being little. It's so wierd how as a mother you really relish all the stages that they go through. And each stage comes with their own difficulties...

But, right now I can look at you and appreciate where I've been and where you are. And realize we both love the places that we are in. :) Sorry Long reply :)

If you didn't try and enjoy the little things and appreciate everything that's going right, you'd probably have a lot more breakdowns! It makes parenting worth it and a (little) bit easier I think. Some days will be crazy but those moments of silver lining are precious! Enjoy them! You'll find you're happier too...

And, oh well. So the clothes don't get done. Nor the dishes. Your boys are what counts, right? :) You guys are amazing...keep it up!

Oh how the second child thows you for a loop. Your kids are closer together than mine... but Mia is a little spit-fire. ALWAYS into something. Yesterday she managed to pull her bedroom door off the hinge and strip out all 3 bolts in the bottom hinge plate while I was in the shower for 10 minutes. Yep, my hurculean 2 year old pulled a full size door off the hinge. Crazy! Getting dressed is optional, feeding the children is not... Davis doesn't care what he gets to eat as long as it is food. It feels like alot right now, but It is supposed to get better... at least that's what people tell me! Love Ya!
