Craigslist is awesome!!!

I have heard people talk about craigslist before and how great it is to sell your old stuff on it. But, I had no idea how awesome it was until I posted some items on there to sell that we no longer needed. We sold our glass coffee table with matching end tables that were just hanging out in our attic. They were a really nice set but after Davis was learning to walk and he feel and hit himself twice on the glass and cut himself right by his eye I know that they were not that great to have with kids. They sold very quickly in a few days of posting them. We also sold a 3 year old keyboard. Nick bought this for me because I convinced him that I "needed" it and he bought it for me for Christmas one year but I never used it. Plus, Nick's parents gave us there old piano so I didn't see a need in keeping the keyboard anymore. The keyboard sold the day that we posted it....awesome!!! And last but not least we sold our Ikea desk that was only a year old. It was very nice to have and I LOVED it but again it wasn't a great desk to have with kids. Davis was constantly climbing on it since the printer sat on the legs Davis thought that he could climb all over the printer and was constantly pushing buttons on it. Since our office is in our dining room I don't have a door to close so Davis is always in there trying to destroy stuff. Anyway.....all of the stuff that we posted on craigslist sold and for a lot more if we would have ever thought about having a garage sale!! People of course called and tried knocking down the price but Nick would always tell them that we have a friend that would buy it for that and we are just seeing if we can get more for it!! Our desk took a little longer to sell then the other stuff.

Now we are taking the money we made off of craiglist and turning our office into a reading room for us since Nick and I both usually have our nose in a book and we are going to call it "The Bettes Library". We are also going to leave part of it a little playroom for Davis so when we are reading Davis and the baby can be in there playing with their toys!!
I will post some pictures when we get it newly furnished who knows when that will be!!

Congrats on everything you sold! I've heard about how great craigslist is but have never really gone to it. I've got to get my house posted on it so it can sell!

I love Craigslist too. It can be addicting, so be careful. Once I bought someone's storage unit full of furniture and resold what I didn't want from it on craigslist. I made about 800 bucks, and it was fun!

Yeah, lets sell something we paid $300 for and only ask $60 for so we can turn around and buy something else for $300 again!! I'm addicted too!!

Sweet - love craigs list. This song is reminding me of Forrest Gump - are you a hippie at heart Jessie?

I sense a hint of sarcasm in Nick's tone!

my Momma says life is like a box of chocolates, u never know what u going to get. I hear good things about craigs list, dad was thinking about putting the 2001 alero on there, he put a flyer at the post office in the valley 1 or 2 picked off the paper below where the number to contact dad, let us know if would be a good thing to do. have a good day.

I just discovered Craigslist two weeks ago and I LOVE IT! I bought the most beautiful rocking chair from there AND it was for a great price.
