We are having a.....

Yesterday we had all of the family up for Davis's birthday party. It was a lot of fun!! Davis got tons of toys and I felt like it was Christmas for him. Yesterday he was spoiled rotten with all of the stuff he got!! It was nice to have family up at our house for a change and that we weren't the ones that didn't have to do the driving. Nick and I bought Davis a trampoline for his birthday and we had to order it from Walmart and of course it didn't get here in time for his party. I should have known not to order it from Walmart. But, it really didn't matter because he got so much other stuff anyway. He loved playing with his cousins and by the time everyone left Davis was exhausted and we still dragged him up to the outlet malls with John and Angie. It was quite the day we had yesterday!! When we got back home I was too exhausted to post anything!

But, I am sure that you guys don't want to hear about all of this. You just want to know the verdict of what we are having! Well, you guys split it right down the middle of the voting on the poll so I am not able to make fun of you if you were wrong or praise you if you were right. You guys did this to me on purpose I think.....Let me tell you the story first just so you know that when we were in the ultrasound I was trying to avoid looking down in that general area and the ultrasound tech was going to give us the heads up when she was looking in that area. I was trying to avoid looking down in that general area anyway just to make sure that I didn't see anything and right when I decide to take a little peek when the ultrasound tech was looking at something else the baby moved its leg and there it is was!! I took a gasp of air and my eyes were bulging out of my head and I turned to look at Nick and he was looking at me all confused. I was trying to mouth the words "I saw it, I know what it is" to him but he couldn't make it out what I was trying to say. So, finally I told him and the ultrasound tech that I saw it and she looked and sure enough I was right with what I saw!!! IT IS A BOY!!! We are having another BOY!!! The odds of when you are trying to let it be a surprise until the family comes up and you actually see it in the ultrasound, I must say I don't have a modest child at all!! But, we still waited until Saturday to tell the family which they were not happy about the fact that we knew and we were making them wait another day. I wanted to wait until after Davis's party to tell everyone but they were all acting like they were going to die if we didn't tell them soon. The majority of the family was wrong they all thought we were having a girl along with myself. I thought for sure it was a girl and Nick was the one that was right he said it was a boy!! But everything is looking great with the baby and that really to me is the most important part. I am measuring early still so tomorrow when I go back and see my doctor they are leaving it up to him about the due date. So, I guess we shall see what happens.

Yay, a boy! I guess you'll have to see how many it takes before you get a girl! Well, now we can't arrange our kids' marriage, but hopefully they will be best buds!!! Davis' party was great, the pulled pork was especially good! Have fun with all those NOISY TOYS!!!

Congratulations! I can't believe you were able to recognize what "it" was at the ultrasound--I am lucky if I can recognize anything at those things. Anyways, I am sure Davis and the new baby will be best buddies. Can't wait to see you to say congrats in person.

CONGRATS... We are so happy for you. It's great to have a baby regardless of the boy/girl thing. We all know that. It's so fun to find out though. I remember being able to say her instead of it. And then to go ahead and be able to call them by their name.

Oh by the way. My next son's name was going to be Jacob. And I didn't hear you discussing that name yesterday... So I think you need to take it into consideration!!!
:) LOVE YA'll... We had a lot of fun yesterday. Thanks for letting us come up. Hopefully when all is said and done and I am done with school, We'll be able to visit more often. I know that the girls will want to visit now that another baby is on its...oops His way. :)

Congratulations! How awesome...do you have any names picked out? Dan and I are weird and have a top boys/girls name already and we aren't even expecting. It always makes it a bit more real to find out!!!

Happy Birthday again to Davis. :)

Congratulations! I was also looking for you at church and didn't see you to ask you! CONGRATULATIONS! I am so excited for you! Two boys will be so much fun! I wanted to skip down and see what it said... but I read the whole thing and didn't sneak a peak! :) It sounds like Davis had a good party! My kids are going to want to come jump on your trampoline! They love them!

Just to let you all know, Davis and his new brother, once they reach high school will be feared wrestlers known by most as simply "The Bettes Brothers". That's always been my goal, to have 2 boys going to high school at the same time and be on the wrestling team!! And that way, when we have our girl, no one will touch her b/c they'll be scared!!

that is great!!!!!

I can see it now.

The wrestling duo that can't be beat!!!!

:)

Nick said...

No, they will be the Bettes Brothers. The word duo will not be used. At least not officially. Perhaps at times when they're in the news or newspaper or whatever people can use the word duo when referring to the both of them, but that's only after they first reference them as the Bettes Brothers. But I won't like it still. There's just something about the word duo that I don't like.

Bethanne....well, we do have some names picked out. We really like the name Cole, we considered it with Davis and I really think we will end up going with the name Cole. But it is not set in stone yet!!
It took us forever to finally settle on the name Davis, I mean like a week before he was born. But Nick's aunt had a good point about finding a name quickly so Davis can relate to the name before the baby gets here!!! So, we are searching pretty hard for a name this time and not waiting until the last minute like we did with Davis!!

Congratulations,
Two boys first is the right way to do it.

Cute story. I can't tell what those ultrasound techs are looking at most of the time. It looks like blobs, but when those boy parts flash, it's pretty clear. Congrats. Send me your baby name rejects, because we can't seem to agree on anything around here.

Happy Birthday Davis!! Congratulations on the boy! That is probably a relief knowing you don't have to go out and buy an entire new children's wardrobe in a few months!! Plus, Davis and his little buddy will play so well together!

Yes, one day we'll see the Bettes Brothers as the stars of wrestling in the Olympics--a tie for the gold. You'll have to teach them the "Bettes Dance" so that they can celebrate like Usain Bolt did after getting the 200 m record. Nick, if you don't remember the Bettes Dance, I will be very sad.

Andrea said...

Yay - congrats Jessie and Nick!

Nick said...

I do not remember any dance and I'm quite sure no one else does either!!! Unless you're talking about my break dancing moves. I can't do the splits anymore so I may not be able to show anyone how to do that dance.
